PACS The purchase of Picture Archiving Communitcation System (PACS) in the 2006 fiscal year has enabled the department to have a direct link with the Radiologists in Renfrew and Ottawa. Although the Hospital absorbs the high cost of PACS, enhancement in patient care has been recognized through enhancement of our medical staff resources. Allowing us to secure more radiologists in other areas. Also allowing for immediate response for early diagnosis.
Diagnostic Imaging includes X-Ray, Ultrasound, OBSP/Mammography and Bone Mineral Density.
Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1600 hours An Diagnostic Imaging procedure must be ordered by a doctor.
Unless you are sent from the Emergency Department you must have an appointment, which is usually arranged by your doctor’s office. |
