How do I apply for a position?

Simply click on the desired position located below or to the right to review the requirements.  Once you have reviewed the position requirements and job details, simple email your resume to the approprite person noted in the job posting.  

Will you contact me about the progress of my application?

You will recieve a confirmation that we have received your application and the appropriate manager will get in touch with you.  

What is the best format to submit my application?

It is suggested to upload a pdf version of your resume and cover letter.

Who should I contact if I require an accommodation during the recruitmenet process?

Requests for accommodation can be made at any stage of the recruitment process by emailing pecarskiej@sfmhosp.com or call 613-756-3044 ext 234.

Can I submit my applications if I do not see the employment opportunities I am qualified for?

Yes, we welcome all applications.  If you do not see a posting that meets your qualifications at this time, please feel free to submit your resume to pecarskiej@sfmhosp.com and indicate the job category you desire.  All resumes are kept on file for a period of 3 months. 

Is there opportunity for Education, Mentorship and Cross training?

Yes.  SFMH offers mentorship and cross training opportunitites.  In addition, all SFMH staff can apply for education sponsorship to advance skills and knowledge and reimbursement for required certifications such as ACLS, PALS and others. 

Can I be offered a position with St. Francis Memorial Hospital if I am not Canadian and currently live in a different county?

Only applicants who are legally entitled to work in Canada can be considered for advertised positions.  Please visit Citizen and Immigration Canada for information on how to obtain employment authorization. 

How do I transfer my nursing registration from another Canadian province?

Please visit the College of Nurses of Ontario for the process.  They can answer any questions you have. 

How long are job postings active?

On average, each position is posted for 10-15 days

Is my application kept confidential?

Yes.  All your information is kept confidential and is only used for employment purposes.
