Permanent Part Time Job Opportunities

St. Francis Memorial Hospital is looking to fill the following Permanent Part Time Roles:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Dietary Aides
  • Maintenance/Groundskeeper Helper
  • Pharmacy Technician

and a

  • Casual Pharmacy Technician
  • Casual Receptionist (Rainbow Valley CHC)

Occupational Health, Safety & Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Coordinator

Qualified applicants should have: 

  • Successful completion of approved courses in Occupational Health and IPAC
  • Prior experience as an Infection Control Practitioner or IPAC Lead in a hospital/health care setting an asset
  • A demonstrated ability to perform the duties of an Occupational Health Services/Safety Coordinator /Infection Control Coordinator
  • A demonstrated working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Workers' Compensation Act, and the Regulations for Health Care and Residential Facilities.
  • Prior experience in project management and/or delivery of organization-wide programs
  • A demonstrated working knowledge of the principles of Infection Control/IPAC standards
  • Understanding of Quality, Risk and Safety from an organizational perspective required
  • A demonstrated ability to perform the duties of an Infection Control Coordinator including knowledge of epidemiology and microbiology

Pharmacy Technician - Permanent Part Time

The Pharmacy Technician will work under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy. The functions of the Pharmacy Technician will be performed in accordance with established departmental procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • A minimum of two years experience – Hospital experience preferred
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Interact positively and professionally with medical staff and health care professionals.

Personal Support Workers

Through a new collaborative and integrated partnership with the Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care, St. Francis Memorial Hospital is seeking applications for Casual Personal Support Workers (night shifts including week days and weekends).

PPT Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses within the Emergency and Medical Departments

Qualified applicants must have:  current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario and well developed interpersonal and communication skills (Emergency position may require additional qualifications).
