I have been a full time resident of Barry’s Bay for the past 18 years having previously been a cottager since the mid 80’s. Having the luxury of working from a home office my entire career (before it became a “thing”) has allowed me to raise my 2 daughters in this beautiful community we call home. I have a degree in Food Science and have been working in the food industry developing business with milk protein now for over 30 years. I currently work for Vitalus Nutrition and we process milk protein at two plants in Canada and ship worldwide. Health and nutrition has been the focus of my entire professional life. I became a board member of the SFVH Foundation in 2022. I have been involved in many other volunteer roles over the past three decades in our community including the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC), Ontario Trillium Fund Grant review team, Paugh Lake Property Association and HART Animal Rescue, as well as a number of professional associations in the food industry. As they say… if you want something done, give it to a busy person! I enjoy serving my community and look forward to my newest challenge as the Chair of the SFVHF.
