St. Francis Memorial Hospital is a 20 bed, fully accredited facility, offering medical, and complex continuing care. Special inpatient services include palliative care, diabetes clinic, telemedicine and Cardiac Rehabilitation. A two bed Hospice is directly down the hall from our inpatient unit. The hospital has an extensive ambulatory care program with over 10,000 emergency visits per year. A six-station satellite hemodialysis unit is located at the St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Barry’s Bay.

Pay Grid: $28.09 - $29.59/hour

The Executive Assistant provides comprehensive, high level administrative and organizational support to the Senior leadership team, including being the contact all senior leaders while on site, including the CEO. Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Programs and Ambulatory care, the role ensures efficient daily operations, smooth communication, and effective coordination across multiple leadership groups. The Executive Assistant is responsible for managing sensitive information with discretion, supporting strategic activities, and contributing to the efficient functioning of both clinical programs and corporate operations.

Qualifications:

  • College certificate as a Hospital Ward Clerk, Nursing clerk or equivalent college certification preferred. 
  • Excellent computer skills including MS word processing, spreadsheets, internet use and ability to easily learn program specific software
  • Experience in electronic charting (EPIC) is an asset
  • Ability to operate within an internal and external network computer system
  • Ability to work under conditions of frequent interruption
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to work with the public effectively and courteously
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain good working relationships with nursing personnel, medical staff and other health care professionals
  • Ability to work with accuracy and initiative
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.  The work requires occasional lifting less than 10kg. and moderate bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, walking, climbing and standing for periods.
