There are no outbreaks of VRE at St. Francis Memorial Hospital.
On the last day of each quarter beginning December 30, 2008, SFMH along with all Ontario hospitals will be required to publicly report on their own websites
Public reporting of our infection rates is important because it will allow us to work with a standardized approach across the province. Our commitment to our patients is one of safety and continuous improvement. If our rates rise above our baseline, then we will: internally at our hospital’s processes; consult externally with experts; identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to reduce VRE bacteremia in our organization.
In order to ensure that people with disabilities have appropriate access to health care services at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, and in order to comply with the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, the St. Francis Memorial Hospital has been very active in recent years identifying barriers, removing barriers and preventing the creation of new barriers.
Documents and policies under the AODA Customer Service Standard will be provided to a person with a disability in a mutually agreed upon format that takes into account the person’s disability. This information will be provided as soon as possible.
